Ashley Cacicedo-Surdovel is dedicated to a career in public service. She is a vision-driven change agent with an exemplary record of community service, special events, and project management success.
She works for the City of Fort Lauderdale as a Commission Assistant in District 2 for Commissioner Steven Glassman. Through her role, she serves District 2 residents, connecting them with city and community resources to help improve their neighborhoods and quality of life.
Mrs. Cacicedo-Surdovel believes in civic duty, education, volunteerism, and advocacy. She continues to put her passion for community engagement into practice. Ashley serves as Chair of the Young Leaguers Committee for the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County, Board Member of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, Co-Director of New Leaders Council Palm Beach, Scholarship Committee Member for the South Florida Fair, and of course is a proud Board Member of Friends of Foster Children.
Ashley is a Lynn University alumna with a Master of Science degree in Communication Media Studies and Practice and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies with a minor in Media and Politics. At Lynn, she was recognized with the Female Student Leader of the Year Award and the Bradley Middlebrook II Student Service Award.
Most of all, Ashley loves spending time with her husband Reed and their cat Calypso. She has fun with her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys pickleball, paddleboarding, and cycling.
