At FFC, we’re here to support you every step of the way. From training to ongoing guidance, you’re never alone. Our mission of “fostering happy childhoods” remains at the forefront while offering support to those who provide care to our most vulnerable population- children experiencing foster care.

All open foster homes throughout Palm Beach County are eligible for free services and support through Friends of Foster Children, including:

Monthly support group: offered virtually to provide support and additional training for foster parents.

Emergency bags for a new placement: includes new clothes, pajamas, underwear, socks, uniforms, school supplies, hygiene products, blankets, diapers, wipes, etc. (all items are age appropriate)

Equipment: car seats, strollers, cribs, pack n plays, walkers, jumpers, swings, etc. (subject to availability)

Clothing Closet: due to the gracious support of our community, we keep a fully stocked closet of gently used clothing and shoes that our families have access to.

Special family events: this includes tickets to Foster Family Night at the South Florida Fair, shows at The Kravis Center, The Palm Beach Zoo, Cox Science Center & Aquarium, Back to School Palm Beach County and a variety of events held by community partners year-round.

Holiday treats: Valentine’s bags, Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving food baskets, and Winter Holiday gifts.

Our goal is to ensure that our caregivers feel seen, heard, and receive all of the resources that are available to them in order to comfortably maintain the placement of a child.

**All open homes are eligible for free membership. All homes that close with an adopted child or a child placed in a permanent guardianship are subject to a $50 per year household membership if they would like to continue to receive these services and supports. **
