Mr. Jeffrey F. Gordon is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with Lesser Landy Smith & Siegel in Boca Raton, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Emory University in 1983 and a J.D. degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1986. While in law school Mr. Gordon was Chief Defense Counsel of the Univ of Florida Honor Court. Upon graduation, he began work as a criminal defense attorney in Miami, where he received extensive trial experience. In 1987, Mr. Gordon joined the law firm of Broad and Cassel (now Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough). He became an equity partner in 1994, serving as the firm’s sole personal injury attorney. Mr. Gordon left Broad and Cassel after 30 years and joined the Lesser law firm in 2018. Mr. Gordon taught as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University from 1994 to 2020, teaching at least one class per semester in Civil Litigation, Criminal Law and Personal Injury. He is a member of Palm Beach County Justice Association; South Palm Beach County Bar Association (Co-Chair of the Civil Litigation Practice Committee); and Florida Justice Association. Mr. Gordon has been a member of the 15th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee. Mr. Gordon’s honors include “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell for the highest level of legal ability and ethics; American Board of Trial Advocates, Outstanding Professor, FAU Paralegal Program; Coach of the Year, SABR Soccer; and Top 10 Attorney Award, Boca Observer.
Mr. Gordon has been a licensed foster parent since 2010. Mr. Gordon and his wife have fostered 28 children in their home since 2010. Mr. Gordon is currently President of the Board of Directors of Friends of Foster Children (Board of Directors 2018 – Present); Chair of the Emory Alumni Palm Beach County Network, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Caregiving Youth (Board of Directors 2018-present); Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Champions Empowering Champions (2018-present), Board Member and Chair of the Palm Beach Committee of Flite Center (2022 to present); South County Bar, Co-Chairman Civil Procedure Committee (2018 – Present).
